New MA thesis based on EXCEPT defended in University of Turin
One of the Masters students working on the EXCEPT project, Alice Monticone successfully defended her thesis. Her work focused on well-being of NEETs and investigates the relationship between job market insecurity, NEET status and the use of their subjective resources such as their courage. Alice writes:
“The job insecurity influences their working and social life: NEETs tend to postpone the departure from their home because they wait for a quality and guaranteed job. NEETs are characterized by a disorientation that has a negative effect on their well-being and self-esteem. However, NEET population uses some subjective resources for cooping with this condition: courage, desire to learn and be useful in everyday life.”
