EXCEPT shares experience at the Data Forum in Barcelona

EXCEPT Project Co-Coordinator Michael Gebel gave a talk on "Youth unemployment in Europe: Evidence from multilevel analyses using EU-LFS microdata" at the Data Forum on the Harmonization and Uses of European Microdata. This workshop was organised by the Centre d’Estudis Demogràfics (CED) Barcelona in collaboration with the Horizon-2020 project InGRID-2 and the Integrated Public Use Microdata Series (IPUMS-International) Minneapolis and was held on 18^th–19^th of January in Barcelona, Spain.

This data forum brought together representatives from European Statistical Institutes and researchers with strong experience in cross-national comparative data to discuss innovation and solutions to integrate labor force survey microdata for the study of poverty, work, and living conditions. Michael Gebel provided details on the research strategies used to analyse the microdata of the EU-LFS in a multilevel design. He gave examples from his research on the EU-LFS data in the EXCEPT project.
