EXCEPT goes on Ukrainian tour

Results of the EXCEPT research and the best photos from the EXCEPT Photo Competition were presented in 3 Ukraine cities: Kyiv, Cherkasy and Mykolaiv. During the tour, EXCEPT researchers presented the results of the qualitative empirical study on the difficulties young people face entering the labor market and the strategies they employ to overcome the negative consequences of labor market insecurity in Ukraine. There was also an overview of the youth labor market policies in Ukraine and results of the quantitative analysis of negative long-term consequences of youth labor market insecurity. Youth from the two visited cities participated in the EXCEPT qualitative research earlier in 2016.

After the presentations the EXCEPT results were discussed with young people during the events resulting in new recommendations on inclusive youth labor market policies collected from students and recent graduates. The tour engaged over 260 young people, 30 researchers and 2 policymakers.
