Conference presentation on the policy-related findings of EXCEPT by Marti Taru
EXCEPT team member Marti Taru (Tallinn University) spoke at ESA RN 30 ‘Youth and Generation’ Midterm Conference 2018 about evidence based policy making. His research showed that the quality of evaluations carried out on active labour market policies (ALMP) is generally low, which in turn makes it hard to draw conclusions about their impacts and effectiveness. The audience was impressed by the presentation and eager to know more.
The work was partly based on The Database of Youth Policies and Legislation on Youth Inclusion created in the frames of EXCEPT project which is freely available on the project’s web-page.
The ESA RN 30 ‘Youth and Generation’ Midterm Conference 2018 titled „(Being) Young in context. Concepts, contexts and comparisons in youth studies“ took place from 13 to 16th of September in Silver Lake near Belgrade, Serbia.
